Make your first video

Here's the quickest path from an embroidery file to a shareable clip.

  1. Open your design — drag a .dst, .pes, .jef, .vp3/.vp4, .exp, .hus or .sew file onto the window.
  2. Pick a format in the settings rail — Landscape (16:9) is free; Square, Vertical and Portrait are Pro.
  3. Choose a styleLines is free and fast; Relief gives a realistic, raised stitch-out look (Pro), with density, shadow and gloss settings.
  4. Set the length — drag the Length control (5 seconds up to 3 minutes).
  5. Press Play to preview the stitch-out. Scrub the timeline to check any moment.
  6. (Optional) add a background, a caption, your logo, or music.
  7. Click Export Video, choose where to save, and StitchMotion renders the file.
tip

Once you like a setup, save it as a Preset so your next design starts with the same look.

On the free tier your video is 16:9, uses the Lines style, and carries a small StitchMotion watermark plus a one-second end card. Pro removes both and unlocks the other formats and the Relief style.
